Rock Candy

I love Etsy. Really I do. I think the idea of having ready access to so many talented young designers is wonderful, and I think it's great that they have a direct outlet for their work. But in reality it takes me a long time to sift through so many designers and find something that I like. I've had moderate success in the past: after all that searching, the things I've bought really have been lovely handcrafted items! But for every one designer whose shop is filled with fabulous trinkets that I covet en masse, there are 80 or 90 others whose not-so-much-me designs manage to worm their way into my search. So I browse around only occasionally, and when I find something pretty, I make a note to come back again and again.

Right now, I'm loving these gorgeous semi precious stones set in sterling silver and 18k gold plate by Toosis - discovered two weeks ago, and revisited at least five times in the interim. I think they might be just the pop of color I need for spring! I'm mostly craving the oval rose quartz earrings to brighten up my day. What's your favorite? Amethyst? Carnelian? Jade?
