Coveting: Ginette New York

Walking past the Ginette NY boutique has become a daily exercise in self-control. I absolutely adore her delicate designs in 14k gold and have fallen in love with necklaces, rings and earrings in each of the last three collections - not to mention the gorgeous signature monogram pendants. Currently I'm coveting the long, layered chains and tiny faceted rings, which can be monogrammed as well. There's a simple modern elegance to the pieces that I love. If you find yourself visiting the west village, wander over to w 4th st. and be tempted.....

A Star-Crossed Love Affair

I first discovered Jigsaw in London a few years ago and fell in love instantly. Their fine knitwear and casual elegance makes me feel so cozy chic. About a year later, I wandered upon the Jigsaw store in San Francisco (Pacific Heights) and was enamored all over again....Today the east coast felt like NoCal, with grey-blue skies and cool spring breezes. I'm longing for easy knits and cozy cashmere. When, oh when will Jigsaw come to New York???

General Store

Stepping into Brook Farm General Store is like stepping into a clean white haven from a bygone age. The bright and inviting space is lined with handcrafted objects for every purpose: natural linens, antique tools, rubber boots, shopping baskets, recycled glass vases. I swooned over cast iron skillets, olivewood nesting bowls, antique rings and earrings...and the sweetest little beagle, who proffered her soft ears for nuzzling while I browsed! My new favorite: pure and simple.
