I have long, thick, dark and wavy hair and while it's sometimes the envy of straight-haired friends, for me it's always been a love-hate relationship. On a good hair day, I get a cascade of big silky curls, but on a bad hair day I face a daunting tangled mass. I've learned that a great haircut goes a long way.
